  To support our Customers in the product development stage, we offer prototyping services. Our strategy involves keeping additional capacity, whether it is printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) or box build assembly, and a qualified team of experts that can quickly support you in prototyping services. 

  Our sourcing and procurement follow the material markets on a daily basis, and with our wide range of approved vendors and expertise, we can support you in delivering the right components in the adequate times, in line with your project plan. 

  To create value for our Customers, we work with them closely with them during the prortyiping stage, providing additional solutions, such as product evaluation, component review and analysis as well as product re-design or engineering. 

• Product Evaluation

  Product Evaluation

  Based on best-practice, our experience and world-class manufacturing standards, we are prepared to support you in reviewing your products. Our offer includes:

  • Design for Manufacturability (DfM): We will review you product in terms of its manufacturability and assembly. Our analysis will emphasize its focus on seeking the most efficient and thus cost-efficient manufacturing process of your product.
     
  • Design for Test (DfT): DfT aims to detect potential testing problems as early as possible and to resolve them before they turn costly for Customers. Analyzing appropriate test access, a DfT can include testing strategies to not only prevent manufacturing defects but to also stop defective products from leaving the facility. We will review your products for optimum coverage and results.
     
  • FMEA: Our Customers receive reports with recommendations and suggestions, as well as we conduct discussions to clarify each and every aspect. 
• Component Engineering & Analysis

  Component Engineering & Analysis

  We can help you with:

  • Component Review & Analysis: We will support you in analysis of your BOM and finding the best components and suppliers for your product. We will analyse the components in your bill of materials and verify if the components that are listed are obsolete, EoL or cost-efficient, and are recomeneded.
     
  • RoHS & REACH analysis: We will gather information and review if the components used in your product fulfill the requirments of RoHs and REACH directives.
     
  • Conflict Minerals (3TG): “Conflict Minerals” refers to certain minerals commonly referred to as “3TG” (Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Gold) and relates to manufacturers and their products, which did not directly or indirectly helped to finance conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoinign countires and contributed to an emergency humanitarian crisis. Assel provides services in reference to the compliance of materials and delivers the adequate documentation, as a confirmation.
• Quality Requirements

  Quality Requirements

  Our experts possess extensive knowledge in manufacturing products for various demanding devices, used in medical, rail or mining industries. Independing if, the quality requirements are equal to IPC Class 2 or Class 3, in many occassions our Customers have additional requirements, that are defined by their market segments and final Clients. 

  Our team will co-work with you to define complete quality requirements (including visual standards) in the form of the specification, after all needs are gathered and a FMEA process is conducted.

  Product Accreditation / Certification

  Getting your product certified by a third-party certification body, is very often associated with increasing your sales potential and the ability with entering a new market (very common in the US). We have been supporting our Customers thorughout the whole certification process many times in the past, followed by adapting our production and quality control processes to fit the requirements of the certification body. 

  Furthermore, we manage regular audits by the ceritifcation body on our premises to ensure that the audits are run smoothly and in a proffesional manner.
